Tiziana is an environmental scientist with a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences. At CEU, she teaches courses on Environmental Pollution and Bioremediation Methods, Environmental Health, Agroecology, and Food Policy. Tiziana's current research program is broadly focused on agricultural and environmental sustainability issues. Her recent research studies focus on restoration ecology of degraded land, local institutions, and human drivers for the conservation of natural resources. Most recently, in cooperation with ESSRG, she is investigating alternative food systems that increase plant-based protein production and consumption in Europe (TRUE). Tiziana has worked at Cranfield University (UK), University of Maryland (College Park), U.S. Department of Agriculture (Beltsville, MD), and California State University (Fresno).
