SPP Associate Professor of Law Thomas Skouteris is presenting his research on critical approaches to international criminal justice in a conference entitled "Third World Approaches to International Law: On Praxis and the Intellectual" at the American University in Cairo, February 20-24, 2015.

In a faculty research seminar at the School of Public Policy (SPP) on February 20, Associate Professor Gina Neff presented her current research on regulatory questions surrounding the quantified self (QS). As Neff explained, QS is the term used to describe a set of consumer electronics that allow users to measure personal data such as health and fitness indicators. The emergence and popularity of these products create questions for state and medical agencies.

South Sudan earned the top position in the Fund for Peace's Fragile States Index 2014. During a panel discussion at the School of Public Policy (SPP) at Central European University about state-building and state-collapse in South Sudan on February 20, there was widespread agreement however that what has taken place in South Sudan since December 2013 was not state collapse, but something much more nuanced.

The School of Public Policy (SPP) is celebrating a significant increase in student applications for its MPA program. As of the first application deadline (February 1), SPP received 61 percent more applications than it received last year. "It was a team effort," explained Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Administration and Finance Edward Branagan.
