Covid 19-related CEU Senate Decisions, Policies and Communications

Dear All, please look to these documents related to COVID 19 communications and decisions by CEU if need be.
SPP is here to support our faculty, staff, students and alumni. OneCEU site has a collection of Rector updates for the community, along with separate communications from the Provost, Dean of Students, on issues such as working from home, guidance to supervisors re work obligations of parents. CEU document repository is where you can find COVID 19 academic decisions, such as grading and extensions, the PhD measures, and cost reimbursement for academics.

	Writer and activist Jillian C. York, who is the director for international freedom of expression at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (ECF), offered a global perspective during a public lecture at Central European University (CEU) on February 26, hosted by the Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS).
	Co-founded by six School of Public Policy (SPP) and the Department of Public Policy (DPP) students, the Policy Cafe brings together students from SPP and DPP to discuss key policy issues. “I wanted to bring our discussions offline in an open roundtable setting,” commented Nuruddin Ahmed (MPA '16). The cafe provides a welcoming atmosphere for debates on today’s global concerns.
	Martin Kahanec, Associate Professor at the Department of Public Policy, publishes an article on "Projections of Potential Flows to the Enlarging EU from Ukraine, Croatia and other Eastern Neighbors" in IZA Journal of Migration.
	Following a successful one-day forum, “Rolling Back the Rollback: Spaces & strategies for reviving democracy and open societies in Europe,” the School of Public Policy at CEU has published a policy paper that takes a deeper look into the mechanisms of populist mobilization - one of the main symptoms of democratic backsliding.
	In a public lecture co-hosted by the Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS) and the CEU Library, Gregg Gordon explained how the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), the leading social science research repository in the world, is “causing problems and creating opportunities.”
