SPP is here to support our faculty, staff, students and alumni. OneCEU site has a collection of Rector updates for the community, along with separate communications from the Provost, Dean of Students, on issues such as working from home, guidance to supervisors re work obligations of parents. CEU document repository is where you can find COVID 19 academic decisions, such as grading and extensions, the PhD measures, and cost reimbursement for academics.

Laura Tyson, who is a professor of business administration and economics and director, Institute for Business & Social Impact at the Haas School of Business, addressed a wide range of topics during her conversation with SPP Founding Dean Wolfgang H. Reinicke on April 14.

Corina Ajder, Suluck Fai Lamubol, Ilija Prachkovski, and Lucia Sobekova (all MPA ’16) interviewed Martti Ahtisaari, former president of Finland and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, on April 15. The interview was organized by Jon Greenwald, vice president of the International Crisis Group (ICG) and SPP visiting professor.

Bashir Ahmad witnessed the suffering of his people caught in a war between terrorists, the U.S. and Pakistan. His efforts to represent youth put him in danger.

“I was only 13 years old when I already felt sad and angry because of the constant killings,” said Ahmad, who will be among the first cohort to graduate from CEU’s School of Public Policy (SPP) this spring. “When a friend of mine was killed in a crossfire on his way home to his family, I realized that war is definitely not the way to solve the problems.”

The Global Policy Academy at the CEU School of Public Policy (SPP) and the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) organized a panel discussion on April 13: “Falling Commodity Prices, Rising Tensions: Have Countries Learned From the Past to Navigate the Future?”

“The School of Public Policy is becoming one of the largest and most diverse public policy schools in Europe,” said Julia Buxton, professor of comparative politics and SPP associate dean for academic affairs and programs. Buxton is one of six members of the joint Department of Public Policy (DPP)/School of Public Policy (SPP) Integration Committee that SPP Dean Wolfgang H.
