Edited by Martin Kahanec (Department of Public Policy, CEU) and Klaus F. Zimmermann (IZA), a new book entitled "Ethnic Diversity in European Labor Markets: Challenges and Solutions" has been launched by Edward Elgar Publishing. This highly accessible book illustrates how policy makers can address and nurture the effects of growing ethnic diversity in European labor markets by means an illuminating combination of hard data analysis with expert evaluation of various integration practices and policy options.

Dragan Klaic, visiting professor in CEU’s Department of Public Policy since 2006, died on Aug. 25 in Amsterdam. He was a recognized authority in the fields of cultural policy and international cultural cooperation.

Born in Sarajevo in 1950, Klaic was a theater scholar, cultural analyst, commentator, and educator who specialized in contemporary performing arts, European cultural policies, strategies of cultural development, and international cultural cooperation and memory. 

On June 22, 2011 the CEU’s Jean Monnet Chair in European Public Policy and Governance, Uwe Puetter convened the first annual round table debate of the series “European Union politics – views from Central Europe”.
