What is the role of post-enlargement mobility for European Union’s (EU) ability to absorb asymmetric economic shocks during the current economic crisis? The current issue of Governance, a leading public policy journal, features an article by Agnes Batory on "Political cycles and organisational life cycles: Delegation to anti-corruption agencies in Central Europe". The article explores the politics of anti-corruption reforms in three 'new' EU member states, Latvia, Poland and Slovenia. |

Andreea Nastase successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on 5 October as the first student to complete the Public Policy track of the PhD in Political Science, and received a summa cum laude. Andreea's research dealt with ethics management in the European Commission. The examiners were Prof. Michelle Cini from Bristol University and Agnes Batory (supervisor) and Uwe Puetter from the DPP. Congratulations to Andreea!
