DPP faculty Marie-Pierre Granger authored a chapter in the book Lawyering Europe: European Law as a Transnational Social Field, edited by A. Vauchez and B. de Witte and published by Hart Publishing. The book offers "a multi-disciplinary reassessment of the role of 'law' and 'lawyers' in the European integration process". Marie-Pierre's chapter examines the influence of the lawyers working for EU governments in the judicial elaboration of EU law.

On March 18, 2013, Sara Svensson successfully defended her PhD thesis on "Social Capital and Governance in European Borderlands - A Comparative Study of Euroregions as Policy Actors" in a well-attended public defense. The committee, chaired by Marie-Pierre Granger (track representative, CEU) and composed of Harlan Koff (external, University of Luxembourg), Tamas Meszerics (internal, CEU), and Andrew Cartwright (supervisor, CEU), awarded Sara a Magna Cum Laude grade for her thesis. |
