OneCEU site has a collection of Rector updates for the community, along with separate communications from the Provost, Dean of Students, on issues such as working from home, guidance to supervisors re work obligations of parents. CEU document repository is where you can find COVID 19 academic decisions, such as grading and extensions, the PhD measures, and cost reimbursement for academics.

SPP Assistant Professor Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick will be giving a talk on the relationship between religious belief and social change at the Ways of Knowing conference on religion at Harvard Divinity School on Friday, October 25. Choi-Fitzpatrick's work focuses on how human rights violators experience challenges to their authority. |

Three faculty members of the CEU Center for European Union Research (CEUR) participate in the new European research consortium “bEUcitizen”. The consortium, which brings together 26 universities, was successful in a joint bid for a 6.5 million EUR research grant under the European Union Seventh Framework Programme. The interdisciplinary project, which involves research from legal studies, sociology political science, history and economics, aims to study the implementation and practice of European Union (EU) citizenship. The consortium is led by the University of Utrecht. |

Aryeh Neier is a President Emeritus of the Open Society Foundations. He served for 12 years as executive director of Human Rights Watch which he founded in 1978. During his time as executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (1970-78), he led efforts to protect the civil rights of prisoners and those in mental hospitals, and fought for the abolition of the death penalty. |

Martin Kahanec (DPP) co-organized a joint workshop of the IZA Journal of Labor Policy and the IZA Journal of European Labor Studies entitled Labor Market Reforms during the Great Recession: Challenges and Opportunities on October 10-11, 2013, in Brussels. The opening keynote address was provided by Commissioner Laszlo Andor. Keynote lectures were given by Giuseppe Bertola (EDHEC Business School) and Coen Teulings (University of Amsterdam and Cambridge University).
