SPP is here to support our faculty, staff, students and alumni. OneCEU site has a collection of Rector updates for the community, along with separate communications from the Provost, Dean of Students, on issues such as working from home, guidance to supervisors re work obligations of parents. CEU document repository is where you can find COVID 19 academic decisions, such as grading and extensions, the PhD measures, and cost reimbursement for academics.

Professor Uwe Puetter publishes a new policy analysis paper on the European Council. In a contribution for the European Policy Analysis series of the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (SIEPS) Puetter discusses the central role of the European Council in European Union decision-making. You can access the paper here.

On September 24, Peter Molnar, a Research Fellow at the CMCS, and Sejal Parmar, Assistant Professor at the CEU Department of Legal Studies, convened a side event on the subject of incitement in international law at the 2013 OSCE Human Dimension Meeting in Warsaw.

Martin Kahanec (DPP) delivered a speech on "Youth Employment in Western Balkans: Any lessons from the EU?" at a high-level Policy Dialogue, co-organised by the World Bank (WB), the Austrian Ministry of Finance (BMF), the Global Development Network (GDN) and the wiiw wiiw, that took place in Vienna on October 21, 2013.

Martin Kahanec (DPP) delivered a speech on "EaP workers in EU Labor Markets: Unleashing potentials for mutual gains" based on the results of DPP's EU-funded ENPI/EPLM project at the Tenth Meeting of the Eastern Partnership Platform 2: "Economic Integration and Convergence with EU Policies” in Brussels on October 24, 2013. The meeting involved representatives of the European Commission, European Union External Action,  representatives of EU member states and Eastern Partnership partner countries, and other relevant institutions.

The closing space for democracy and human rights support cannot be attributed to the paranoia of a few authoritarian leaders.
