Interning in leading international organizations, NGOs, and public sector institutions, SPP students are currently working in 17 different countries across six continents. SPP’s Master’s program in Public Policy extends into the summer with a mandatory two- to three-month internship. |

Professor Martin Kahanec (Public Policy) has been appointed a member of Expert Panel of the Council for Research, Development and Innovation, a Czech governmental body for the evaluation of research output in Social Sciences. The Panel will identify those pieces of Czech research that are of major importance to their field, i.e., scientific output of the highest originality and impact on the international scientific community. |

CEU Visiting Professor of Public Policy Kalman Mizsei was appointed Head of Mission for the EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine). According to a news release, EU advisers will initially focus on supporting the elaboration of revised security strategies and the rapid implementation of reforms, in coordination and coherence with other EU efforts, as well as with the OSCE and other international partners. |

How mainstream political parties should communicate the issue of integration of minorities was the topic of a round-table organized by the Prague-based think-tank European Values on July 23 in Budapest. DPP Visiting Professor Sara Svensson was invited as one of eight experts who were asked to provide input to the think-tank’s recent work on politics and policies of integration. |
