Covid 19-related CEU Senate Decisions, Policies and Communications

Dear All, please look to these documents related to COVID 19 communications and decisions by CEU if need be.
SPP is here to support our faculty, staff, students and alumni. OneCEU site has a collection of Rector updates for the community, along with separate communications from the Provost, Dean of Students, on issues such as working from home, guidance to supervisors re work obligations of parents. CEU document repository is where you can find COVID 19 academic decisions, such as grading and extensions, the PhD measures, and cost reimbursement for academics.

	Nobel prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz answered questions from a diverse group of students in an informal question-and-answer session at the School of Public Policy (SPP) at Central European University on November 11th. SPP Dean Wolfgang Reinicke moderated the event that was co-organized by SPP and CEU’s Department of Economics.
	Recent research by Martin Kahanec (Public Policy) busting the myths of welfare magnet of migration and welfare use by immigrants receives further attention of major international media.
	DPP alumni Mario Munta and Jakov Bojovic who are among the maintainers of the European policy network Politheor.net, a platform for regional and European policy exchange, feature an interview with DPP Professor Uwe Puetter on his latest book on new intergovernmentalism and the role of the European Council and the Council in contemporary Europen Union governance.
	Emeritus Professor of Politics at the University of Reading Peter Woodward spoke about the history and different types of intervention that have taken place in the Horn of Africa during a public lecture at the School of Public Policy (SPP) at Central European University on November 10.
	This semester, CEU Professor Wiktor Osiatynski is teaching a special one-week intensive course on “Challenges to Open Society during Transition.” Reflecting on his experience as an advisor to several Constitutional Committees of the Polish Parliament from 1990-1997, Professor Osiatynski is sharing valuable insights with SPP students on prospects, challenges, and threats to open societies during the transition to constitutionalism and rule of law, democracy, and open markets.
