Skills for Impact (SFI) Program, Mandatory module, 2nd year MPA students

Being able to work well in teams is a vital skill for policy entrepreneurs in the 21st century. There is hardly any field in which teamwork is not the norm.. This course takes a close look at the basic concepts of team management. What makes a team successful, focused and motivated? Which structures and processes need to be put in place for teams to be effective? How can individual team members contribute to the success of the team? What is the relevance of shared values and a common team culture? In addition, we will explore the intricacies of team dynamics as well as how to manage and constructively work with conflicts.

The SFI curriculum yields 10 credits at the end of year 2.

Learning Outcomes: 

The SFI curriculum aims to equip SPP´s students with the necessary practical skills to make a difference toward improving public policy worldwide.
