SPP becomes an institutional member of the International Public Policy Association (IPPA)
The School of Public Policy (SPP) at Central European University (CEU) has become a new IPPA Member. IPPA is the world’s leading association for the study of public policy and SPP joins a small galaxy of other policy schools.
The activities of the association include but are not limited to organizing conferences and meetings, developing publications in public policy and making prestigious awards in the profession such as the Career Award, the Best Book in Public Policy Award and the Early career Researcher Award. Its goals include the promotion of scientific research in the field of Public Policy and contribution to its international development. Although a young organization, created in 2014, IPPAs biennial conferences attract around 1,500 participants. Its IPPA Seasonal schools encourage the internationalization of PhD students and Early Career Researchers, and these events have become very popular for their high-quality concentrated learning experience and attraction of some of the most senior policy scholars as instructors. SPP’s Dean, Diane Stone is one of the four founding Vice President of the Association.
