Tiziana teaches courses on Environmental Pollution, Environmental Health, Agroecology, and Food Policy. Tiziana's current research program investigates how environmental issues (i.e., water scarcity, pollution, agro-biodiversity loss) affect human and ecosystem resilience. Specific research studies focus on restoration ecology of degraded land, local institutions and human drivers for the conservation of natural resources, and alternative food systems that increase plant-based protein production and consumption in Europe (TRUE). Previously, Tiziana worked at Cranfield University (UK), University of Maryland (College Park), U.S. Department of Agriculture (Beltsville, MD), and California State University (Fresno).
