Lectures and Film Screening at CEU Offer Global Perspective on Religious Violence

The Center for Religious Studies and the School of Public Policy at CEU are co-sponsoring “Religious Violence in Comparative Perspective” during CEU’s Summer University this year. This new course, which has a strong South Asia focus, has attracted 26 students from many countries.

GPA Workshop on Drug Policy Brings Together European Civil Society Organizations

Expert Group Calls on EC to Adopt a Comprehensive Approach to Rape

Stopping rape: Towards a comprehensive policy has been hailed as “an exceptional analysis of the research and policies of rape prevention in an international context.” The book, which was published by Policy Press in July 2015, is a revised version of a 2013 study that was commissioned by the European Parliament's Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality.

Roxana Radu Publishes Article on Data Control and Digital Regulatory Spaces in the EU

Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS) Fellow Roxana Radu has recently published an article in Internet Policy Review, co-authored by Jean-Marie Chenou and entitled "Data control and digital regulatory space(s): towards a new European approach." The article examines the stance of the European Union vis-à-vis internet services company Google in two controversial instances: the "right to be forgotten" and the implementation of EU competition rules.

Four Public Policy Students Recognized for Academic Excellence

Four public policy students graduated from CEU in June 2015 with more than just their diplomas. They left also with Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards. Each year, CEU bestows these prestigious awards to graduating master's students from every department and school who have earned the highest GPA (grade point average). The four public policy students who were recognized for academic excellence in June 2015 were: Dustin Biero (MPA ’15), Lena Jacobs (MA ’15), Robert Papp (MPA ’15), and Myles Stiffler (MA ’15).
