Philip Howard joins SPP Faculty

The CEU School of Public Policy is pleased to announce that Philip N. Howard will join its faculty as a Professor for Media & Communication Policy and Governance. Currently, Howard is a professor of communication, information and international studies at the University of Washington and a fellow at Princeton University's Center for Information Technology Policy.

Gareth Evans, Former Australian Foreign Minister, Joins SPP Visiting Faculty

Professor the Hon Gareth Evans AC QC, Chancellor of the Australian National University, joins the faculty of the School of Public Policy at CEU as a Visiting Professor. Professor Evans is also President Emeritus of the Brussels-based International Crisis Group, the independent global conflict prevention and resolution organisation which he led from 2000 to 2009.
 
He previously spent 21 years in Australian politics, thirteen of them as a Cabinet Minister.

MEP Franziska Brantner joins SPP Faculty

Franziska Brantner, MEP, co-spokesperson for foreign affairs of the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament (EP), joins the faculty of the School of Public Policy at CEU as a Visiting Professor.

SPP Dean Wolfgang Reinicke contributed to an international conference in Singapore on November 19-20, 2012. The conference with the title Global Economic Governance in Asia: Through the Looking Glass of the European Sovereign Debt Crisis was hosted by the Centre on Asia and Globalisation at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
