The School of Public Policy is seeking applications from prospective client organizations for its signature Passion Projects program. As part of the core curriculum of SPP’s multi-disciplinary MPA program, the Passion Projects are client-driven and student-run, policy-oriented capstone projects.

Diving into the broader CEU community, first-year MPA candidate Nataliya Novakova initiated and led the first Human RightS Initiative (HRSI) event of the year. “With my experience volunteering with human rights organizations in Ukraine, HRSI is one of the organizations I’m most interested in working with at CEU. I even mentioned it in my SPP application,” she commented.

A recent Financial Times article highlights SPP's role as one of the first universities to pilot the Curriculum Open-access Resources in Economics (CORE) curriculum. SPP recently announced its participation in the CORE project, which Assistant Professor Michael Dorsch will be using in his Economic Analysis core course.

Gerald Knaus, founding chairman of the European Stability Initiative, delivered a wide-ranging, thoughtful, and passionate address at Central European University (CEU) on September 18th. Hosted by the School of Public Policy at CEU, the lecture inaugurated the Frontiers of Democracy initiative, a series of events that the University will be organizing over the next two years to promote open debate about the nature of constitutional democracy.
