Covid 19-related CEU Senate Decisions, Policies and Communications

Dear All, please look to these documents related to COVID 19 communications and decisions by CEU if need be.

	Founding School of Public Policy (SPP) Dean Wolfgang Reinicke opened the School’s Annual Conference by highlighting the key questions that the speakers and panelists would be addressing over the next two days: Is democracy discredited and increasingly neglected around the world? If so, how and why – and what can be done about it?
	Twenty-two students from 11 universities traveled to Budapest, Hungary last week to participate in the Open Society Internship for Rights and Governance (OSIRG) – an experience that Rumbidzai Masango (MPA ’15), one of last year’s students, described as “mind-blowing.”
	“As a Nepali, I felt like I had a family at CEU. Everyone gave their all to help fundraise even though it was a busy time of the school year,” said Shaileshwori Sharma (MPA ’16). Shaileshwori was part of a team of CEU students that initiated a fundraising campaign to help communities in need in Nepal when the country was hit by the worst earthquake in its history in April this year.
	CMDS' Joost van Beek and Kate Coyer presented preliminary research findings from their study on the digital content sharing and archiving practices of community media around Europe at the international conference “Radio Archives in European Community Media,” which took place in Halle, Germany, on June 5-6.
	In this Regional & Federal Studies article, Sara Svensson uses analysis and data from her 2013 dissertation, but enriches the analysis by also using the network metric ‘connectivity’, which was introduced in a a previous article written jointly by Svensson and CEU Center for Network Studies Research Fellow Card Nordlund in Journal of European Integration (37:3, pp 371-389). The present article discusses determinants of local government contact networks within cross-border cooperation organizations (Euroregions).
