SPP is here to support our faculty, staff, students and alumni. OneCEU site has a collection of Rector updates for the community, along with separate communications from the Provost, Dean of Students, on issues such as working from home, guidance to supervisors re work obligations of parents. CEU document repository is where you can find COVID 19 academic decisions, such as grading and extensions, the PhD measures, and cost reimbursement for academics.

CEU students and alumni gathered in person and online to hear about global careers with the Open Society Foundations on November 15. The event, which was organized by the CEU and SPP Offices of Career Services, opened with a six-minute film about “George Soros and Open Society.” Members of OSF’s global recruitment team spoke about roles and hiring procedures within OSF. Two OSF staff members who serve specific OSF programs also participated by describing their work. |

In his dissertation "Possibilities and Limits of Cross-Country Administrative Cooperation at Europe's Fringes: A Process Perspective on EU Twinning in Moldova and Lebanon," Stefan Roch, who successfully defended on November 11, explored how EU Twinning projects support reform processes within beneficiary organizations. "A lot of research has been done on the impact of Twinning projects," Roch noted, "but not much has been done from a process perspective. I wanted to look at administrative cooperation from this angle to find out if and how these projects succeed." |

Twenty former classmates, faculty, staff, and other friends from Budapest gathered at CEU on November 2 to remember Sudish Niroula (Mundus MAPP ‘14) who died in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 7, 2016. “There was never a dull moment with Sudish. He was uniquely interesting and fascinating,” remembered Nick Wallace (Mundus MAPP ‘14). |
