CEU is committed to attracting talented students from around the world. The University offers a range of scholarship, fellowship, and loan options for students studying in the School of Public Policy (SPP) and encourages students to seek external sources of funding. 

CEU Master's Scholarships and Awards

CEU awards a variety of scholarships on a merit basis for which students from any country are eligible. All applicants to SPP's master's program are automatically considered for these awards when they submit an online application. The University offers the following scholarship awards:

CEU's Master's Excellence Scholarship
Cover the full cost of tuition, monthly living stipend of 96,000 HUF, health insurance, with or without housing.

CEU's Master's Scholarship
Cover the full cost of tuition, monthly living stipend of 50.000 HUF, health insurance, with or without housing.

CEU Tuition Awards
Cover 50% to 100% of tuition and health insurance.

CEU Scholarships for Syrian Candidates
Provide full scholarship packages for Syrian citizens at the master's and doctoral level.

Civil Society Leadership Awards
For citizens of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Laos, Libya, Myanmar/Burma, Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Alumni Scholarships (funded by CEU alumni)
Provide stipends to assist with the cost of living expenses in Budapest, up to EUR €1,000 and EUR €2,000 per academic year.

Master of Public Administration Scholarships

In addition to the CEU scholarships, MPA applicants may apply for the following funding opportunities:

Latin America and Caribbean Scholarships
For citizens of any Latin American or Caribbean country.

Middle East Scholarships
For residents or nationals of any country/state in the Middle East.

Peace Corps Scholarships
For U.S. citizens.

Public Policy Debate Scholarships
For applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to debate.

South Balkans Scholarships
For citizens of Albania, Bulgaria, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Greece, and Kosovo.

Advanced Certificate in Religious Studies Master's Scholarship
For students interested in pursuing studies on religion-related themes.

MA in Public Policy Scholarships

In addition to the CEU scholarships, MA applicants may apply for the following funding opportunity:

Student Loans
