Your Assembly is Abolished: The Influence of Security Policies on the Civil-Military Relations in Russia

The topic of civil-military relations is often analysed as a part of the regime change studies, emphasising the importance of the civilian control over the security forces for the stability of the democratic institutions. Although the question of the security agencies influence on public policies is often overlooked, it still has consequences for both, the policymaking processes and the system of civil-military relations.
