SPP Professors Cristina Corduneanu-Huci and Michael Dorsch publish paper in the Journal of Comparative Economics
SPP Professors Cristina Corduneanu-Huci and Michael Dorsch have publised a paper from their ongoing research project on the political economy of policy evaluation in the Journal of Comparative Economics. In their article, "The politics of experimentation: Political competition and randomized controlled trials," Corduneanu-Huci and Dorsch critically examine the incidence of Randomized Controlled Trials from a political economy perspective. Their theoretical hypotheses and empirical results suggest that when and where RCTs happen depends on local politics. The results have clear implications for the generalizability of RCT experiments, which they discuss in their paper's conclusion. The article was co-authored with Professor Paul Maarek from University Pantheon-Assas (Paris II) and is currently open access on ScienceDirect.
