MKSS celebrated its 30th anniversary
MKSS (Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan) one of the most widely recognized institutions from India commemorates 30 years on the 1st of May 2020, of their struggle for human rights and justice compiled in an anthology. Experiences of SPP Students whom have spent summers interning at the School for Democracy or MKSS, are also mentioned. Many people such as former SPP George Soros Visiting Chair Aruna Roy, and SPP professor Anand Murugesan share their memories and perceptions of the MKSS in text, photos, songs and videos.
We are touched by all the love and support of those who have contributed to this effort and those who, despite their best efforts, could not. We are thankful to the people who put this together so beautifully. We also acknowledge that this is far from comprehensive and that there are many others without whom the MKSS could not have continually struggled in the last 30 years who are not represented here. We are grateful to them as well. - MKSS
