SPP Students Celebrate Beginning of Academic Year

September 26, 2016

Sixty incoming and returning SPP students gathered on Friday afternoon to celebrate the beginning of the academic year. "Some of us who are second-year MPA students decided to organize an informal gathering so that we could meet each other and offer advice and support to the new students," explained second-year MPA student Liliana Fernandez. "We never imagined that so many people would come." There are currently 127 students from 57 countries enrolled in SPP's three master's programs and the public policy track of the doctor of philosophy in political science program that is offered by the CEU Doctoral School.

In addition to being a social gathering, the event was also a chance to hear from the student representatives who were elected last week: first-year MPA students Maad Sharaf and Bach Vu; second-year MPA students Tamara Stupalova and Eliza Totino; One-year MAPP students Emma Sjokvist and Daniel Berg; and Mundus MAPP students Mette Olsen Michele MacMillan.
