Kahanec Elected to Join Academia Europaea

Associate Professor Martin Kahanec was among a distinguished group of scholars elected by the Council of the Academia Europaea on June 26 to join The Academia Europea, which is “the pan-European academy of science, humanities and letters.” It boasts a membership of more than 3,500 European scholars with expertise in social and related sciences, exact sciences, and life sciences. “I am very proud to have been nominated and selected for membership of this prestigious body,” commented Kahanec. “It is especially gratifying because the selection is done after an extensive peer evaluation process.”
