Alexander Soros has accepted an invitation to join the advisory board of CEU's School of Public Policy.

“I am delighted to welcome Alexander Soros among the members of our distinguished advisory board,” said Wolfgang Reinicke, SPP's Dean. “The addition of Alexander Soros to the SPP advisory board will further strengthen the school's partnership with the world of policy and practice that is dedicated to governance and human rights worldwide”.

A graduate of New York University, Alexander Soros founded the Alexander Soros Foundation in 2012 while pursuing his current doctorate in Modern European History at University of California, Berkeley. Based in New York City, the Foundation promotes social justice and human rights through a grant-making program that focuses on innovative organizations throughout the world.

Alexander Soros also sits on the boards of the Global Public Policy Institute, a Berlin-based think tank which develops strategies for effective and accountable governance, Bend the Arc, which supports grassroots efforts to strengthen lower-income neighborhoods across the United States; Global Witness, which exposes and breaks the links between natural resources, conflict and corruption; and the Open Society Foundations.
